The International Congress FRANCISCO DE HOLANDA (c. 1518-1584): ART AND THEORY IN RENAISSANCE EUROPE, organized in the context of the 5th centenary of the birth of one of the most illustrious figure of Portuguese art of the 16th century and, as a theorist of the arts, a nave of vast international repercussion, will be held from 22 to 24 November in Lisbon.
Promoted by two research centers of the University of Lisbon, the CIEBA of the Faculty of Fine Arts and the ARTIS – Institute of Art History from School of Arts and Humanities, the event has the honorary presidency of Dr. Sylvie Deswarte-Rosa, assisted by Dr. Fernando António Baptista Pereira and by Dr. Vitor Serrão, and is held at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon, with a session at the National Library of Portugal.
