Art and politics of processual publishing — conferência de Alessandro Ludovico
14 OUTUBRO > 18H00 I AUDITÓRIO LAGOA HENRIQUES
The role of software and networks in publishing is not limited to the massive digitalisation and online access of printed materials, but to let published material to emerge as a crucial agents of change. Software and networks are still slowly but radically transforming the gesture of publishing through induced calculations and transmissions that can’t be simply accomplished by humans. The resulting new type of publications are embodying what can be defined as “processual publishing.” Artists and activists, in particular, are conceiving strategies and testing techniques to produce prototypes towards the realisation of a truly hybrid publication.
Alessandro Ludovico (PhD) is a media critic, artists, lecturer and chief editor of Neural magazine.
