The Whistleblowing Channel of the University of Lisbon applies to all complaints that fall under the scope of application of the General Regime for the Protection of Whistleblowers (RGPDI), approved by Law No. 93/2021, of December 20th, which transposed into national law the Directive (EU) 2019/1937 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of October 23rd, 2019, on the protection of persons who report violations of European Union law.
This is an impartial and independent channel, which will receive your complaint(s) on a named or anonymous basis, processing the complaint(s) with secrecy and confidentiality.
When you submit your complaint*, a ticket number will be automatically generated which should be kept safely throughout the process, as it is through this number that you can check and monitor the status of your complaint, as well as send communications.
All communications regarding the status of your complaint shall be made through this platform, which you must access using your reference/ticket.
The selection of the organic unit that is the subject of the complaint is mandatory, and without it, it will not be possible to submit the complaint.
After submitting the complaint, the whistleblower shall receive a notification within seven working days indicating receipt of the complaint, as well as information on the requirements, competent authorities and form of admissibility for filing an external complaint.
The processing of personal data within the scope of a complaint procedure complies with the General Data Protection Regulation, approved by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27th, 2016, with Law no. No. 58/2019 of August 8th, which ensures the implementation, under national law, of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, and Law No. 59/2019 of August 8th, approving the rules on the processing of personal data for the purpose of prevention, detection, investigation or prosecution of criminal offences or the execution of criminal penalties.
False statements shall be punishable by law.
