OBJECTIVES
The postgraduate course Wayfinding Design: Information, guidance and signage systems for public space provides theoretical and practical skills for the development of projects and implementation of wayfinding systems which allow guidance and routing, as well as information and identification in public spaces. These systems give the users a better ability to make decisions and guide their route. They also allow for the proper information and identification, whether of outdoor or indoor environments, which is crucial for an efficient and safe experience. This course aims to train professionals capable of planning, creating, implementing and managing these systems in their various aspects, by giving trainees specific skills in the fields of product & interior design and communication design. the training is structured from the practice of designing these systems, accompanied by trainers/teachers under a mentoring regime. The development of projects is supported by theoretical-practical curricular units.

Organization of the course
The Postgraduate Improvement Course in Wayfinding Design: Information, Guidance and signage systems for public spaces has a duration of one semester, with a total of 30 ECTS, divided into compulsory course units.
All classes are taught in Portuguese.

The tuition fee for full-time students is set annually by the General Council of the Universidade de Lisboa, which may, under the International Student Statute, set differentiated values for international students.
Tuition fees can be paid in instalments, to be defined by the Management Council of the Faculdade de Belas-Artes.
